Organization Description: 

ALARI is dedicated to promoting lung health and fighting lung disease through advocacy, education, and research.  Key areas of focus are healthy air, fighting big tobacco, and improving systems of care for people with lung disease.  Services include support groups for people with lung disease and their families; stop smoking help, the RI Tobacco Control Resource Center, consultation on lung health issues, and lots and lots of information.

ALARI is an active member of many coalitions, including the New Public Transit Alliance, the RI Diesel Pollution Initiative, the Ocean State Immunization Coalition, the Healthy Housing Collaborative, and more.
